1. All regular forum rules still apply. Under no circumstances are flaming and malicious spamming OK things to do in an RP.
2. Your RP must be based on video game in some way. A good question to ask yourself is ... "Did this topic originate as a video game? Was it a video game BEFORE it was a movie, book or anything else?" If the answer is yes, then your topic is OK. It can be something else fist just ask us w
3. RPs are not the place for chat. If we see RP threads being used for chat, they will be locked. This applies to location-based RPs like cafes. You must behave as if you are in that location at all times.
4. The first post in a new RP thread must include detailed rules, ranks and the initial storyline. Interactive stories only require a starting story. Please remember that your story should be more than one sentence long. This is a creative process. Putting effort into your RP story will bring good results.
5. OOC, or "out of character" chat, is not allowed. If you cannot convey your comment in character then send it in a PM.OOC is allowed as long as it is about the RP
6. No RP is allowed to attack another RP unless both groups have agreed to battle. Not everyone is here to fight, so please be respectful of other RPs and what activities they want to be involved in. Battling is allowed, but do so with dignity and honor! Give your opponents a chance to accept or decline your challenge before striking.
7. The leader of an RP has the final say, but they are also bound to the forum rules as everyone else is. Leaders are not allowed to "ban" members from their RP. If a user is causing problems, contact a moderator. The moderators alone are responsible for policing the forums.
8. Do not attempt to control an RP if you don't hold a leadership position in that RP. The thread-starter is responsible for leadership decisions and appointing such roles. You can't force the participants of an RP to agree to become involved in an outside project or RP.
9. If you dislike the way an RP functions, you are welcome to create your own or arrange to discuss it peacefully. Do not create a new RP out of bitterness with flame comments or it will be locked. Attempting to get an RP locked will be considered an attack against the RP.
10. Do not take over an RP without the permission of the original author or leader. Leaders can't be forced out of their own RPs. If a leader vanishes for an extended amount of time, and has failed to respond to private messages, please discuss leadership change with a moderator.
11. Please do not make posts just to "bump" your RP. If we see this happening we will lock the thread.
12. "Invulnerable characters" or "one-hit, one-kill attacks" are not allowed.
13. Please do not create extra threads for your RP. If you start an RP, keep it all in one topic. Do not disrupt the activity of one RP by bringing arguments, issues, and/or advertisements from another RP to it. Keep the RP limited to role-playing based on the first post.
14. Do not send unsolicited Private Messages to other members about your RP.
15. RPs or organizations designed to enforce forum rules are not allowed. That's what mods and Admins are here to do.
16. RPs cannot force users to join offsite forums or mailings before they allow new users to join the RP. That is discrimination against users who do not want to join offsite programs and it's considered advertising.
17. Most of all, have fun!
